Well, when I think of my
best holidays, I probably go back to my family trip around the south of Chile.
It was a long time ago, and
I probably don’t remember the exact dates or places, but I keep missing these happy
days I shared with my family.
It was on the summer of
2011, when we visited a lot of places in the south of Chile. We travelled as a
family: my parents, my brother and sister. We all spent hours inside a car, making
short stops to eat, or see an interesting setting. It took us, a few days to
reach Puerto Montt (we started our trip in Santiago, our home town), because we
rested and explored small villages. Now, I can remember some of them: San
Fabián, Tucapel, around Chillán, and also larger cities like Valdivia,
Concepción or Temuco.
We finally arrived at
Puerto Montt, and it was then, when we decided to no longer continue the travel.
Instead of that we walked a lot in te city, and then we spent some calm days in
Caburgua and Pucón.
Besides the experience of
knowing new places, we also had some rest in the beaches (the lakes), did some
reading, one day we took a boat and -of course- we ate insanely (that’s sort of
a tradition in my family).
We didn’t even realize how
fast these holidays went over. I think it was around ten days we were together.
When we returned to Santiago, all we did was talk about our trip (it was the
first time we travelled under Rancagua, so it was like the first time we were
in ‘the south’).
Today I think this were
important holidays, because it united my family and created joyful memories we keep
remembering.
